Founded 1985

From a Garage Startup to Cincinnati's Most Trusted Name

Closets and More, Inc. officially began in 1984 from an idea that was fueled by a passion for design and a desire to create order, function, and beauty in people's homes. Founder, Edward (Eddie) Ruben, recognized an untapped and underdeveloped market for custom storage solutions. With an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to seeing the smiles of satisfied customers, Eddie set out to build a company that would deliver on these principles.

In 1985, Eddie officially launched the business from the humble confines of his garage. His commitment to craftsmanship and customer satisfaction quickly resonated with clients in the Cincinnati area. As word spread about the unique, custom-designed storage solutions that Closets and More, Inc. provided, demand surged. It became clear that the company needed more space to accommodate its growing clientele and the expanding scope of its projects. To meet this demand, Eddie moved the business to its first factory and showroom on Springfield Pike. Here, the company continued to thrive, crafting beautiful and functional storage systems that transformed homes across the Tri-State area. Each design was carefully tailored to meet the specific needs of the client, ensuring both practicality and aesthetic appeal. The move to a larger facility not only allowed for increased production capacity but also provided a dedicated space to showcase the company's innovative designs and connect more personally with customers.

By December 1990, Closets and More, Inc. had once again outgrown its space. In response, the company relocated to a larger facility on Reading Road in Reading, Ohio, where it remains today. This new location was a turning point, providing the company with a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that further enhanced its ability to deliver high-quality, custom storage solutions. It also allowed for the expansion of their showroom, giving customers a firsthand look at the craftsmanship and quality that went into each product.

For over 40 years, Closets and More, Inc. has been a family-owned and operated business, a cornerstone of its identity and success. Eddie Ruben's dedication to quality and customer service has been passed down to his son, Zane Ruben, who now serves as President of the company. Together, they have continued to build on the company's legacy, maintaining the core values that have defined Closets and More, Inc. since its inception.
